Last season Kansas State (3-0) went 10-2 and played in the Cotton Bowl, but they were crushed at home by Oklahoma and they may have some revenge on their mind. However, Oklahoma is a legitimate BCS title candidate and that have had a week off to rest not playing last Saturday. The Wildcats have a great rushing offense and are solid on defense, but they are still over 2 TD underdogs in this Big 12 road game. This is the first conference game for both teams.

Last week Kansas State did not look very impressive in beating North Texas 35-21 while Oklahoma had the week off and in the previous week they had no problems beating Florida A&M 69-13.

On the season Kansas State is 2-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 2-0 and Oklahoma is 1-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 0-1.

KSU QB Collin Klein has passed for over 600 yards and he is also the 2nd leading rusher for the Wildcats with 210 yards on the ground with 4 TD. RB John Hubert, who is averaging 6.9 yards per carry, joins him in the backfield.

Oklahoma’s defense ranks 8th in the nation, but shutting down Florida A&M is no big feat. They have to keep Klein from getting to the outside and making plays, as while KSU has a better rushing than passing offense he still has some solid targets and he can make plays outside the pocket. For the Wildcats to win this game their offensive line must have a great game.

Landry Jones has passed for 474 yards with 4 TD and he has one of the best War’s in the nation in WR Kenny Stills (16 rec 241 yards 2 TD). The Wildcats gave up 208 passing yards last week and their secondary has to keep Stills from having a big game and making big plays down the field. No other Sooners’ receiver has over 87 yards in the air.

In last season’s blowout win over Kansas State Jones had over 500 passing yards and Klein was shut down only passing for 58 yards and rushing for 92 yards.

The strength of the Kansas State defense is their rushing D, which ranks 19th in the nation as opposed to their pass D that ranks 80th. Damien Williams (259 yards 5 TD) and Dominique Whaley (117 yards 1 TD) have both played well on the season, but this will be their first test against a solid defensive team.
