The Seahawks are the first team in the league to secure a playoff spot and if they can beat the 49ers they will wrap up the NFC West. However, Seattle has lost 4 straight to the 49ers in San Francisco. The 49ers are a 2.5-point home betting favorite in this AFC West match up with a total of 41.

The 49ers have a one game lead in the race for the NFC Wild Card and they have won 2 straight. Colin Kaepernickhas played well in the last couple of games and he needs to forget about the first game against the Seahawks in the Great Northwest where he had 3 INT one fumble and was sacked 3 times.

The Seahawks have won 2 straight against the 49ers, but those games were at home. This will be a testy game for these 2 division rivals that combined for 22 penalties in the first meeting earlier this season.

The Seahawks are coming off a more than impressive Monday night game when they held Drew Brees and the Saints; offense to only 188 yards of total offense.

In their last games the 49ers beat the St. Louis Rams 23-13 and the Seahawks beat the New Orleans Saints 34-7.

On the season the Seahawks are 8-4 ATS and they have an O/U record of 6-6 and the 49ers are at 9-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 5-7.

Michael Crabtree is back for the 49ers and he gives the team another weapon. With he, Anquan Boldin, and TE Vernon Davis Kaepernick has a solid trio of targets that will face a Seattle pass rush that ranks #1 in the league and totally shut down Brees in the Monday night win.

Frank Gore has played well against the Seahawks in San Francisco in the last few games and last season at home he rushed for 131 yards and also caught 5 passes for 51 yards. The 49ers will try to establish the run early in this game and the Seattle run defense ranks 13th in the league.

While Russell Wilson does not have a big name WR corps, well maybe except for the injured Percy Harvin, he is still getting it down and the tandem of Golden State and Dough Baldwin each have over 640 receiving yards and have combined for 8 TD.

Marshawn Lynch has not had the best last couple of games, but he has been solid all season and will be facing a 49ers’ defense that ranks 11th in the league.

In some betting trends for this NFC West match up the Seahawks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games, 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games overall, and in their last 32 games facing a team with a winning record they have an Over record of 23-9.

The 49ers are 19-8-1 ATS in their last 28 home games, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win, and in their last 4 games they have an Under record of 4-0.

The home team is 7-2 ATS in the last 7 games between these 2 teams.
